Ali has spent more than 10 years in a range of hospitality environments - from Michelin-starred fine dining to gastropubs, brasseries, sporting & corporate venues. This breadth of hospitality experience means she speaks the same language as her customer and allows her to design training programmes that are individually suited to their needs.

​

Ali enjoys demystifying the confusing world of wine for people who haven’t yet had the chance to explore the huge variety available to them.

 

As a certified educator and WSET Diploma holder, she will guide you through Levels 1-3 as well as crafting bespoke informal sessions and events.

Lucy is an Uncorked graduate who went on to complete her WSET Diploma with the Global School.

 

She has a background in teaching as well as hospitality and is now in charge of training for the Open House, The Pantechnicon & Dining Thepry restaurant group, so we were thrilled when she became one of our educators.

 

She delivers both our informal beginner courses as well as WSET awards in wine.

​

Her approach to educating and previous industry experience has resulted in a fantastic pass rate for her students.

'Muma Finch' is Ali & Lucy's emotional support animal, cookie provider and master motivator.

 

Having completed her WSET Level 2 Award in Wines with FORTIFY, plus a decade or two of 'recreational studying', she's also a massive support to our students.

 

She manages the behind-the-scenes to ensure things run smoothly, whether she's at the school or on a sun lounger sipping a cocktail and topping up her permanent tan!
